Trunk Or Treat Postponed Due to Lewiston

This year's Trunk or Treat event coordinated by the UMF Rotaract Club got postponed to this Friday, Nov. 3 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

Currently with the changes that were made there are nine confirmed clubs and organizations that will be participating this Friday.  Some of the campus groups participating are UMF Admissions, Clefnotes, Dance Team, Farmington Rotary, and Snowsports.

“We naturally decided to not have Trunk or Treat on October 27 because of the traumatic events that occurred in Lewiston,” Rotaract President Isaiah Day said.

Instead of canceling the event last week like others, they postponed it a week.

“We felt that the children did not deserve this event being taken away from them for something that was completely out of their control,” Day said.

Rotaract is accepting sign-ups until the start of the event on Friday. If you would like to participate they will supply candy to any club, organization, or sports team, all that is required of you is to bring a decorated car with a trunk.
